When I go from 2 to 3 I lose track of which monitor has which application window. I've never used this software, from what I hear it can be flaky and it can kill performance since it's trying to do in software what hardware is better suited for.Īlso I am not able to really use more then 2 "screens"/monitors. Other manufacturers provide equivalent software in the race for parity. You can even be excessive and use both ScreenSplit and PBP at the same time in order to create eight seperate "monitors". Even cooler is in addition to side by side, you can do a four by four grid - giving you "4" monitors on one screen. Generally I've found even the most advanced operating systems when they provide a "split screen" function fall over when it comes to that - as well as not allowing you to define the width for each side.Īn additional feature of (some)LG monitors with PBP support is that you can download free special software such as ScreenSplit[http /ScreenSplit is a monitor DRIVER which can do the same thing in software for their supported monitors that PBP does in hardware. When I then turn ON Night Shift the screen gets even redder and then when I turn Night Shift OFF again the screen looks normal to me. It looks like Night Shift is active, but it is not. Every time I turn the monitor off and on again, or when I wake the laptop from sleep, the monitor has a very reddish tint to it. I just have one issue that drives me nuts. ![]() The default profile is 'CF791' and it makes the color blue on the screen look purple. Also, I had to change the Color profile in Display settings to 'Generic RGB Profile'. Otherwise my white on black text in Terminal would get a purple glow around it. Most important thing for me was to lower the sharpness. I bought this monitor for my 2015 MacBook Pro retina a few days ago and it took some tweaking, but now I'm really enjoying it.
